Saving Money on Your Vacation Rental
If you’ve got your sights set on a vacation rental this fall but you’re determined to save some money, we’ve got some tips to use. Vacation homes can be a great pocket padder but only if you go about it the right way. Be sure when you’re booking you:
Ask for a deal – Many homeowners would rather lower their rates than not have the place rented out, so ask if there’s flexibility on the price. This works particularly well when you wait until last minute to book or plan to stay somewhere off the beaten path.
Ask for amenities – If you can’t get a deal on the actual rental rate, ask for some amenities thrown in. This can be a gym membership pass, Direct TV , or even some passes to a neighborhood pool.
Choose wisely – Plan to stay at a house than can save you money elsewhere on your vacation. A place with a great kitchen will encourage meals in and a place with a pool or beach access will save you activity fees during the day. Get creative.
